L'albero mi è penetrato nelle mani,
la sua linfa mi ha pervaso le braccia,
l'albero mi è cresciuto nel petto -
nel profondo,
i rami spuntano da me, come braccia.
Sei albero,
sei muschio,
sei viole sfiorate dal vento.
Una creatura - così grande - sei tu,
e tutto questo per il mondo è pazzesco.

The sap has ascended my arms,
The tree has grown in my breast -
Downward,
The branches grow out of me, like arms.
Tree you are,
Moss you are,
You are violets with wind above them.
A child - so high - you are,
And all this is folly to the world.
